PS3 7th SPU

So, I want to unlock the 7th SPU, just cause, and I want to use the SPI bus. How does one go about doing that. Apparently, that's on-the-fly enabling, so it should be much safer, reversible, and I can see if I could enable it permanently without bricking.

Anyone know how?

Following this site, I can use a Teensy to read from the SPI bus to see if the SPE is faulty or not.

It tells how where to solder, seeing as I'm just reading, there shouldn't be a worry for bricking.
