Python How to use Python scripts with IDA?

How do I run Python scripts in IDA? Specifically the one in this thread http://techbliss.org/threads/looking-for-help-from-someone-who-knows-how-to-write-ida-plugins.608/ What folder do I put it in and how do I then run it?

I have IDA 6.5.
Please help me, I know nothing about Python or IDAPython

Dosnet matter what folder just dont put in the plugin one or python folder, ida will see t as a file to autorun and screw up ida.
Put it in idc folder, and run from file run script.
