Nintendo E-shop in Pal Countries

So I bought a $30 nintendo card and proceeded to the nintendo shop. 1st thing I noticed was F-zero for 30 cents so of course I bought it. There's many sites online stating that classics like this in pal countries are 50hz with borders, I can confirm that this isn't the case with this snes title. After loading this up it is indeed running at 1080p 60HZ and looking pretty decent. So is it just a myth? or have nintendo realized that next to no-one is using an old CRT set?

On another note, The wii U part of the shop has next to nothing here in Aus. I have $29.70 left from my $30 card ;)

Edit: Ok, there's talk all over the place about Nintendo delivering 60hz VC to pal countries, duh
