you can use this script : split_bootimg.pl

    http://code.google.com/p/zen-droid/downloads/list

    chmod +x split_bootimg.pl then :

    Code (Text):

    ./split_bootimg.pl boot.img
    Page size: 2048 (0x00000800)
    Kernel size: 8078388 (0x007b4434)
    Ramdisk size: 178492 (0x0002b93c)
    Second size: 0 (0x00000000)
    Board name:
    Command line: console=ttyS0,115200 rw init=/init loglevel=8
    Base address: (0x40000000)
    Writing boot.img-kernel ... complete.
    Writing boot.img-ramdisk.gz ... complete.

you obtain the ramdisk & kernel.

    to unpack ramdisk :

    Code (Text):

    mkdir ramdisk
    cd ramdisk
    gzip -dc ../boot.img-ramdisk.gz | cpio -i
